Caroline Horton, Managing Editor of Sports & Technology
Caroline is an award-winning journalist whose work has tackled some of the biggest issues of our generation in new and creative ways with ground-breaking reporting, in-depth investigations, mixed-media delivery, editorials, and special feature films. She has traveled globally delivering thorough and engaging reporting on major issues, such as the impact of plastic pollution on critically endangered marine species. Her mixed-media work has won critical acclaim for shedding light on difficult and previously under-reported topics, such as gender and sexual orientation diversity in American middle schools. Caroline’s more recent reporting spotlights individuals who are redefining technological futurism and our digital world in areas such as the metaverse, Al-generated art, NFTs, gaming/virtual recreation/e-sports, online identity and Otaku culture, and digital fashion and design. Caroline is the founding Technology Editor and Technology Columnist for The Laurel Springs Newspaper. Living in Montecito, California, Caroline is currently a student at The Academy at Laurel Springs, where she holds a perfect 4.00 GPA and is a top-ranked USTA junior tennis player.
